My daughter transferred to another school and new school day started this Monday. She must have been nervous when she met new friends and teachers. When she grumbled about her jittering and appealed her stomachache, I told her that her feeling was natural, not weird. Take a breath and have self-confidence. Just concentrate on the conversation with smile. You don’t need to feel any pressure that you have to do something. Say or do when you are ready, when you want to.
I think various reasons make people nervous. It may be an excessive expectation or an evident aim. It may due to inherent character. Whatever the reason, just take it easy and try to enjoy the atmosphere. Anxiety will be wear off soon.
(FYI) In my daughter’s case, checking herself in front of the mirror was one of her way to have self-confidence. Right. Nice and fancy outfit gives power.
