In Korea, the roots of Confucian culture that respects the elders remain in the food culture.

First, an adult holds a spoon, and then the lower person can hold the spoon, and then the adult starts eating and then the lower person starts eating.

the lower person can't talk loudly while eating and can't make chewing sounds.
Also, they need to be careful not to make the sound of the spoon hitting the bowl.
These things apply equally not only in the house but also in the workplace.
When I was very young, before my father ate, my immature youngest brother first took a spoon in the food and was scolded.
For now, you can ask for the understanding of adults and get up first at the table during a meal or speak loudly during a meal.
However, meal etiquette is still important in Korea.
In particular, compliance with meal etiquette in work life is very important.
