I'm not a person who usually reads book so I always have to try to remember far past to answer the question related to books. Anyway I think my favoite book is Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld. They are about future world that everyone has to have plastic surgeries of whole body when they get to certain age. However their is other hidden world that protests to that kind of world. So main storyline is about how the main character conflicts between these two world as she gets into the standard age.
The reason why I like this novel is because its story is extremely creative and overwhelming. Although my concentration is not that good to read thick books, I read all each three books almost without having a break. This series are being made as a film these days(especially the first one), so I'm enjoying it also and expecting the other 2 series to be filmed soon.
