I think that most noncommercial movie directors have difficulty in attracting investors in the phase of making movies. After they produce movies, they have to find accessible cinemas or theaters. They would not be successful if they couldn't have strong distributors. Fortunately, there are small cinemas that release noncommercial movies such as independent movies , documentaries, or artistic movies. Of course, the number of those kinds of cinemas is small, but we can have opportunities to see various kinds of films.
Hi, Gi Yean!I completely agree with you. To be honest, this is one of the reasons why I am very hesitant about watching indie films. I know that most of the time they lack budget and support, so sometimes the quality of the film is compromised, even when the story is really good. It's just nice to know that you support these types of industries.
