I think that some people don't comply with 'RSVP' in our country. We guessed guest when my first son's wedding. We invited a lot of people, our friends, relation, co-worker etc. Our country peoson don't reply wedding ceremony. Because usually we invite a lot of people, and it is finish very quickly. But small party like Barth day we have to reply on time. Because this small party have to prepare food according to number of people. If I didn't reply, they will prepare my food. So I think that 'PSVP' is very useful and practical.
Ms. Eva!
Indeed, RSVP is helpful, especially to the host of the event. It gives the person the idea of how many guests are coming and could prepare for some tokens (although this is not mandatory). Complying or giving a response when you get an invitation is an etiquette that everyone must also consider.
Have a lovely day!
