In Korea, there are about 300 family names. Among them,Kim,Yi,Park,Jeong,and Choi are used by a number of Koreans. I think these kinds of Korean family names won't change in the future. However, the way of following the family names is changing and will be different from the existing way. Some young people deny following only their fathers' family names. Instead,they adopt following their mothers' family names or both family names.

Thank you for doing your homework. I think it’s nice that the younger generation tends to honor not only their father’s family name but also their mother’s, to the point of wanting to use both. I believe this shows that women have almost the same impact as men in the family nowadays.
