I don't think corporal punishment should be allowed in schools or academies. Any corporal punishments are against the human dignity right. And it is effective temporally in disciplining students, but the effect doesn't last long run. In many cases, it causes backfire.
Hi, Gi Yean!I totally agree with this. Yes, teachers do have a hard time disciplining students. However, corporal punishment is only a short-term solution and might cause trauma to students in the long run. Its better to consider other ways to discipline misbehaving students in a way that helps them learn from their actions, like what you mentioned in class.
