In Korea there are many ways to greet someone. When we meet someone new, we say " 안녕하세요(annyeonghaseyo)" and bow our head to be polite. We bend our head more when the situation is formal. We nod lightly when when we meet familiar people such as grandparents or parents. If we meet friends, brother or sister, we wave our hands and say "안녕(annyeong)". If I want to be friendly to someone, I sometimes hug or highfive with a big smile. I think the way to greet someone mostly depends on the subject whom we greet. If I face someone whom I don't like, I avoid his eyes.
