I don't ask about mobile phone number to people I just met.
First reason is that if I and someone give and take mobile phone number, we connect to Kakao talk each other automatically which is the most famous chatting app in Korea. Then we can see their profile photos. People usulally use private pictures in profile photos. So, I don't want to let people who I am not familir with know. Also, many people may do that.
Secondly, Mobile number may be used for abuse such as spill personal information or hacking. When I worked for Netherlands company, they don't indicate mobile number in business card or e-mail signature. However, mobile umber is essencial in businees card in Korea. I heard they think mobile number is important personal information.
