I think the sentence mean if someone travels a lot without broadening the mind or learning something meaningful, it only makes his/her stories abundant to tell people. And I don't agree with that. I believe there is something to learn from every experience even if it's a bad things. Also, there's a saying that it's better to regret doing it than not doing. I think it's totally right and it's also applied to traveling. Whenever someone go to travel, there should be something to learn like the importance of holidays or vacation, totally new senses that only can feel in unfamiliar environment and so on even if he/she don't try to learn something consciously. Furthermore, the memory of traveling gives us positive energy to live our life. Whenever I had hard times, I recalled my memories of traveling and it gave me energy to go through the hard times. Thus, it is clear that having a lot of traveling can help in any way.
