Let me just tell you the highlights! Her wife begged to stop, but, blinded by her already growing anger and anxiety, he killed her by slashing her head with an axe. He was greatly bewildered by what he had done, and he stood wife and Pluto in one of the walls of the basement, and repainted the wall to hide the body. But people think it's strange that can't see her wife. Eventually, the police came to investigate the disappearance of her wife. In the end, the police, who could not find any evidence, tried to leave, and the protagonist, unable to bear the pleasure of passing it over safely, he called the police and boasted that the wall where his wife was buried was very strong, and everybody see there was the black cat who was crying with its bright red mouth glaring at the main character over the head of his rotten wife's corpse. Thus he was arrested on the spot, sentenced to death, and executed.

This is one of the many great stories of Edgar Allan Poe. The Black Cat is dark like his other stories like The Cask of Amontillado, among others. If you go through his other stories you will find out how witty and psychological his style of writing is. Well, you summarized a very good short story, well done!
