Some people think that poverty cannot be a valid reason for crime. However, in my opinion, poverty can be a legitimate reason for crime. Because, when people are threatened their survival due to extreme poverty, they blurred judgment ability and commit crimes to survive. I think poverty can be a legitimate reason if you are threatened the survival. But I don't think crime that harms others to get money out of poverty can ever be justified. It can be justified to commit a crime to live when one's life is poor enough to be threatened. Therefore, crime is certainly wrong, but it can be justified when people suffer from poverty that is difficult to survive.

One of the reasons that poverty has been associated with crime is because it is an opportunity for the poor to acquire materials that they could otherwise not afford. Poverty can also produce violent crimes because force is an easy way to get a large quantity of goods. Regardless of this, poverty is still not a valid reason to commit crime. Thanks for sharing your answer. :)
