I worked at Kyoto University in Japan for two years.
I was a postdoctoral fellow there, we call the position a pos-doc.
My major is chemical engineering, but, I worked in the department of earth and planetary science.
My research topic is plasma processing and application.
I studied only in the engineering field before I went to Japan, Kyoto University wants to use plasma for the scientific field.
So, they need an expert for plasma application.
At that time, I thought the advantages and disadvantages both.
It was a chance to expand my research range.
On the other hand, my research carrier in the engineering field loses two years.
Finally, I choose a challenge.
I was at Inha University for ten years, so I already felt boring.
It was a moment to need new things.
The conclusion is satisfactory.
My research range expanded and I back to the engineering field.
Moreover, the research in Kyoto applying to engineering applications.
And now, I'm not afraid to new challange.
