I think there are bad or good fairy tales. Children can learn about good things such as kindness, honesty, friendship from fairy tales. However, there are bad effects to children.
First, fairy tales can give children vain imagination. It's never helpful to children. For example, sleeping for 100 years or falling in love with prince and leave just happily. They are not helpful any thing to children.
Second, some fairy tales can brainwash wrong thinking to children. For example, in Sinderella, new mom is not bad unconditionally. Children who read this book may think new mom is always bad.
