I think housewife is the most hardest job. Its purpose is not for money. It's just for family. I'll cite two reasons why it is the hardest job.
First, It doesn't have any holiday. Housewife have to work every day. For example, in New Year's Day, housewife have to work for food and treat visitors to many foods. So they doesn't have perfect holiday.
Second, they have to do every housework. It looks like easy, but it's very hard actually. They work for family's comfort. If they aren't family member, the families can't keep anymore.
However, my mom said, she thinks if she works hard, her family members can be happy and comfortable. She also thinks if she take care of her children, she is happy with her great adult children.
