Do you think there are times that you need to lie during a job interview? Why or why not?

-I think there are times that I need to lie during a job interview, but the kinds of situations are exceptional and limited. Basically applicants should be honest and be straightforward in their answers. However, if interviewers ask you whether you are willing to work here for a long period or whether you are interested in the position, you should not answer "no" no matter what. The right answer would be 'I do not know.' but there would be no possibility even to experience the job if you answer no.

Hiring managers don't take kindly to people who lie. Telling the whole truth about yourself in a job interview may mean losing a position to a better-qualified candidate. But the alternative—lying about your degree, qualifications, or experience for short-term gain—inevitably will come back to haunt you. But like what you've said, there are some exceptions like the ones you've mentioned.
