Once, during my last job, I had to assist my coworker with Korean clients. By working as the bridge of communication between the client and the coworker, I could forge a long-term relationship and increase the client base. When I was working for the customer service team at Dow Jones, there was a large order of newspapers from one of the subscribers in Korea. Still, the entire procedure was not smooth enough due to the difference in the business environment. Accordingly, the customer was reconsidering the whole order. At that time, I volunteered to work with a colleague to clarify the difference between the business cycle between Korea and Hong Kong and assisted in finding a point to compromise. In this way, we could decrease the misunderstanding and advance the speed of the order cycle. This experience led the customers to introduce another firm for the new order. I would like to contribute attentiveness, empathetic listening, and cultural understanding to your company.
