I will introduce Korean mythical creature: HATAE. It's a symbol of Seoul city. Then why HATAE is so important or great?
HATAE means justice. So its statue is at the Law institute. About 500 years ago, its role was control the staff(?) of law and protect that staff.
(Frankly, HATAE isn't just Korean god, it is also in Japan and China. But the meanings of it are different.)
