In my opinion, the meaning of "beauty is only skin deep" is that personality and inner beauty are more important than physical appearance. Nowadays, the young generation considers beauty as a means of expressing themselves. Thus, young people prefer to concentrate on caring and managing physical appearance by simply copying influencers in videos and social media sites rather than developing personality and knowledge. This trend provides advantages and disadvantages. On the positive side, when people have a relationship with others for the first time, a good appearance significantly impacts the first impression and can attract others easily. Moreover, a neat and fresh appearance can indicate the individual character. On the other hand, beauty fades without continuous manage but personality remains forever. Therefore, people should make an effort to being a better person by accepting others' opinions with an open mind and acquiring a variety of knowledge.
