During my teaching career, I have met many foreign students. They are usually under a lot of pressure because of the competition between Chinese students and the language barrier. Yejin had the same issue at the beginning of the LLM at Tsinghua University. Nonetheless, she overcomes such difficulties by studying her major as well as the Chinese language very hard. Her exceptional academic performance proves her efforts. She entered our school in 2019. The total number of LLM students at Tsinghua University in 2019 was 249, of which her academic achievement was outstanding, ranked in the top 3%. Our school only accepts few exceptional foreign students, of the total 249 students, there were only four foreign students in 2019. With her countless efforts, she was able to receive a 3.79/4.0, the best GPA among foreign students. Even though it usually takes 3 years for foreign students to finish LLM at our university, she finished it in two years.
