Many countries have implemented four-day weekdays. The most recent news was about UAE adopting a 4.5 working schedule to align themselves to the international standard. Many Korean companies are adopting four days weekdays under the flexible working schedule. The workers can work unless fulfilling designated working hours. If I can choose the four-day weekday, I will reconsider for the following two reasons. First, throughout my previous work experience, I have learned that people could concentrate the best in a specific time frame. Going beyond the timeframe would be detrimental for mental or physical health from fatigue and the company in terms of employers’ productivity. Secondly, it is from the workload. In the busiest season, an employee might overwork. I have experience working more than 11 hours per day. However, in the opposite circumstances, the employees need to find a way to fulfill the working hours, which seems inefficient.
