The main food for Koreans are rice and soup. Elderly, espeially, can't have their meal without hot soup. We get used to be eat these food in any season. There is saying "Fight fire with fire" in my country. It means that overcome hot weather by drinking hot soup such as chicken soup. It has changed a lot what people like eating according to the generations, young people don't love having tradiational Korean food but old people still eat rice, various side dishes and hot soup. I am in the middle of both generation whose have experienced both culture. I don't mind having a western food and also like authentic food. The first thing I like is grilled pork, secondly sushi, finally, I love eating "kimbab". However, if it is things with alchool, I would have tripe the best. In winter, we can see a lot of street food such as fish cake soup, steamed see foods and dumplings. I like it because it makes my body warm. I think it's the season that people would like to eat hot food.

Hi Hwang!^^

Rice is also a staple food here in the Philippines. Regardless of the weather, we always have rice. Though w don't have winter season in our country, from May to September is our rainy season. We always serve rice and viands. First viand on the list is beef stew, sour pork stew, and chocolate rice porridge. Same goes from December until February, these are the coldest months and therefore, most of the time we cook soups and stews.
