Have heard about the war recently between Russia and Ukraine? What can you say about it?

I search for the new about the Ukraine-Russia War everyday ; The first thing I do in the morning right after getting up and the last thing before I take off my eye glasses at night.
I only know few things about the global politics. The reason why Moscow invaded Kyiv is, as far as I know, to stop Ukraine from being a member of EU and NATO. It already annexed the Crimea several years ago. And since then, it is obvious that the President Putin has waited for the right moment.
Ukraine shared its East Border with Russia. If Ukraine become a member of NATO, Western Countries including the U.S can deploy their troops and state-of-art weaponery systems in Ukraine threatening Russia in proximity. As you can check through news, the real reason of Russia’s invasion is to warn the Western Countries and show its strong willingness sacrificing once a part of its nation in the past, Ukraine.

Oh, I guess you are updated with the current issue that's happening in the world. Currently, I heard the they stop the war and in peace talk. Hopefully, this talk will turn to peace. Since a lot of innocent citizens are affected, especially the young ones. It's so sad to see their current situation right now.
