The digital place can assist young people to escape from reality which isolation can turn into overspending. I believe this trend can cause social issues such as addiction. The reason is that people pay physically. When people spend money in in-person settings, it could be easier to track their spending. In the case of credit card payments, they could follow their spending habit by receiving receipts. However, many people tend to deposit in a credit card and use it as an online token setting. On top of that, many people can regard monetary value in the cyber settings to have a smaller value. Accordingly, many do not grudge their excessive spending and tend to spend more. I navigated from my research that one teenager has sponsored 10 billion KRW to the favorite online streamer, which later revealed that she thought the spending was an award or gift rather than money.
