Why do you think facing death is a difficult experience? How can a person cope with it?

Losing someone is a deep sorrow than any others for human. Maybe it will same for animals. I also had an experience losing my dad when I was 20 years old. That was a kind of separation between my dad and I because of the death. Like this, many people feel a sense of loss when their person gone. It hurt the mind, spirit and even body. Sometimes it took so much time to be recovered. However, there are also some solution. In my case, my family is faithful christian. So when my dad passed away, we can believe he will stay as a soul with us and in heaven. It helped to calm down. So the faith is very important I think. It doesn't mean all people have to be men of religion. However, we need to believe, our soul is eternal even the body disappered. It will help to face death and cope with it.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about my question. I sincerely appreciate you for opening up and I admire you for being strong. 
I also experienced losing my grandfather 15 years ago and my grandmother two years ago. They both lived with us until the end.
As you mentioned, losing someone makes us feel that deep sorrow. However, faith helps us cope with it since we believe that their soul will be eternal, and as Christians, we believe that they will be in heaven where they will feel peace and no longer feel pain or any suffering. 
The pain and sadness we feel can be calmed down by believing that.
