I think body language is important.

There are 2 reasons.

First of all, it can be helpful to express your thoughts and feelings.
When you meet a friend, you can shake your hand instead of saying “hi”.
Also, when you feel thankful or touched to someone, you can hold someone’s hands or hug them instead of saying “thank you so much”.
Like these situations, body languages can be efficient way to express your thoughts and feelings.

Second, it is a common language all of the world sometimes.
Let’s imagine your are traveling Paris but you can’t speak the French language, you are in the fancy French restaurant and the main chief asks you “how was your food?” using French.
Probably, you’re embarrassed immediately but as soon, you can use your hands to make “Thumbs up”, it means “awesome”.
Like this, even though we don’t know other language, body language help communicate foreigners.
