It's because to earn money or reason which it can't avoid. But many case of crimes's reasons are to earn money or ridiculous reasons. Actually I don't know why people commit crimes because of what. They know it can catch out by police and they get punishment. I think they think they will not catch out if they run away well.

I agree that most people commit crimes because of financial needs or reasons. 
They may have lost their jobs and need money to feed their family or to provide for their daily needs.
