The deadline means the time when we have to finish our work, project or assignment.
I was accustomed to use the word, "deadline", without thinking. But doing homework, i realize that "deadline" is the compound word which is "dead" + "line". It was kind of creepy word for me.

I'm usually good at meeting the deadline when i have a project but there is one story i missed the deadline.
When i worked co-worker asked me to finish the project by this week. However, I totally forgot about it so he asked me "Are you done? when can i get the project you did?" at times, I remembered that. I didn't tell him that i forgot about it instead i tried to do the project quickly and roughly. Anyway, I gave it to him on Friday evening so i thought i escape the danger of missing the deadline.

However, next Monday, he told me you need to do it again. He probably noticed that i forgot the deadline and i finished the work quickly done.
