When I was younger, I think follower is better than leader.
Because, when we following to leader we can think and act anything(don’t need)
and also we don’t have any responsibility.
It makes me comfort and easy.
But Now, change my opinion.
I think leader is better than follower.
Because, it is makes me more active and I can learn responsibility for myself.
also I have to think myself for do it.
and more helpful development of myself.
these day, a lot of people they don’t want to responsibility themselves.
so, when they do something or threat someone just enjoy and rightly.
I think it is no good for our society. Anyway so I think leader is better than follower.

For me, being a follower is easier since, as you stated, you will simply wait for commands and will not have to think about the team. At the same time, leadership experience can help you understand how to take responsibility effectively. Nevertheless, it is better to experience both things. In that way, you will understand each other's point of view.
