I think the useful technology is speed reading because if we have it, we can use everything that kind of reading. Actually, I have this technology through a lot of reading in my childhood thanks to my parents. In the past, I didn't notice that It's useful but I realized it in the middle school. When I test the subject of Korean and English, I can read fastly. Also, I use it while I need to read thesis or article for my task. It adventage is that you can understand whole content rapidly as you can. It's very useful when you should to read a book for book report which you have to submit to teacher. Furthermore, the bis test in Korea, 수능 has long content about test. That's a big reason the necessity of speed reading.
