How do Koreans practice " cost-cutting"?

When i visited my father's office, I realized there are a lot of quite classic gadget and there's no any decoration. My dad told me that it's the normal way of cost-cutting in small-middle company. When i was in the military, all the stuff were quite old one. No matter how they have been looked and the stuff is old, companies or organizations tend to use old one. When we get on the bus and we transfer from other bus or subway, there is a transfer sale system that is we don't have to pay on next transportation. So we mustn't forget to tap our transportation card when we get off. In home, when we doesn't use cords, we plug it out because of saving the electric bill. At this time, I try not to go out so much. When I get along with my friends, I tend to spend a lot of money. There are so many ways of cost-cutting.
