Q: Why is there a need for animal testing?
A: I think it's because they need to test if the new product is safe for people or not.
There are a lot of animals which have a very similar biological characteristics with humans, and still, it can't be 100% sure that the new product is safe for people, but they can be at least 90% sure that it's safe for people if they do the animal testing.
But if there's no animal testing, none of the new biological products can be certain that it's safe for people.
