The criteria for a good husband may vary depending on one's perspective.
What a wife, who has experienced married life for a long time, expects from her husband, what a bride-to-be expects from her future husband, and what a father who will soon make his daughter married expects from his future son-in-law may differ.
I want to talk about what I, as a father with daughters, expect from a future son-in-law.
Firstly, the ability to love his wife, communicate with family members, and lead a harmonious home.
To achieve this, he must receive good upbringing, interact with good friends to develop empathy, compassion, and diligence.
Secondly, the ability to be the cornerstone of a household, protecting the family and providing economic stability to his members.
Lastly, beyond just a household, given the unique characteristics of Korea as a divided nation, he must hold a firm national view and fulfill responsibilities to society and the country.

A good husband is a friend; a person to depend upon whenever help or guidance is needed. He is the backbone of his family by providing them with nurturing care, love and bringing them happiness. Our society generally has particular expectations of the acts and thoughts of men. A family is supposed to be built together by a good husband and wife. Hardships and joys should be shared.
