Well, that seems to be really difficult problem.
Nationally, the use of animals for experimentation and research is allowed in Korea, but demanding procedures and animal welfare must precede, and the types of animals used for experimental and research purposes are strictly limited.
Experiments and research are being conducted according to much better research welfare compared to a few decades ago.
I don't know if I should say it's relief to think that it's improved, but personally, I think we should refrain from using animals for experimentation and research.
But if you think about it on the other hand, I think we have no choice but to use animals when checking the effectiveness in new medicines and other necessary areas.
I think it's a bit of an ironic and a dilemma situation.
Still, if there is a alternative animal that can get accurate results, I think we should restrict animal use and treat it with the best animal welfare while strictly managing it if we have to use animals.

To be honest, when I asked you the question, I struggled to respond as well. However, when discussing science, I believe it is rational. Perhaps there is nothing wrong with it as long as the purpose is purposeful and not solely about animal cruelty.
