I don't have a pet, so this is an area I don't know much about.
So, I will share the results of searching for information on the Internet.
Keeping a house clean when you have pets that shed fur or make other kinds of mess can be challenging.
Here are some ideas to help pet owners maintain a clean home.
First, you need to brush your pet frequently. Regular brushing reduces the amount of fur that left on furniture and floors.
Second, bathe your yet regulary.
I think that regular baths help reduce shedding and odors.
Third, clean all areas of your home regularly with using a vacuum cleaner.
Fourth, frequently wash your pet's bedding and any blankets or covers they use.
Fifth, clean up messes immediately to prevent stains and odors from setting in.
I think the above ideas will encourage pet owners to invest a lot of time.
However, I think that pet owners should be willing to invest a lot of time with their pets as they get a lot of joy and comfort from them.

Regular brushing will decrease the amount of hair that is shed. Ideally, you should brush your pet a few times a week. Do a quick brushing, just to get the coat out so the hair collects on the brush, not around the home. Brush your pet outside, if possible, so there is no need to sweep up after grooming.
