In the past, when we had an office party at the department head's house, we played Yut, a traditional game, or a card game, a Western game.
However, these days, office parties are usually held at restaurants, so instead of playing games, employees eat, drink, and talk to each other.
During office parties, the topics of conversation mainly focus on the employees' family affairs, children's education, and marriage issues, and they tend to refrain from talking about company work.
This is because during office parties, employees want to get away from work and have free time to enjoy themselves.
Recently, I heard that global Korean companies were holding office parties in hotels and playing Western-style games.
