Let me compare Korea and Japan, its neighboring country. We call Japan as a close but far away country, which signifies that there are many similarities and differences between two countries. Historically, many things have flowed into Japan from China through Korea because of three countries’ geographically locations. Therefore, it is natural that there are many thing in common between three countries. But their unique inherent characters starkly different from others have made them differentiate each other. See, two country feed on similar foods but how to eat them is different. For example, Japan prefers individual tray to eating together on a big table which is how Koreans eat every meal. There are similar vocabularies in both two languages, but how expression should be made is totally different. Japan is not supposed to reveal what’s inside in relationship, esp. in business, but not the other way round for Koreans, who’re likely to consider it as a hypocrite.
