Who are some famous figure skaters from history, and what made them memorable?

Figure skating was not a popular sport in Korea.
Although there is winter in Korea, it is not as cold as Eastern Europe or Canada, where ice sports are popular, so winter sports are not as popular.
So, other than Korean female skater Yuna Kim, I don't know much about famous world-class figure skaters in history.
Yuna Kim was a gold medalist at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
She is of great significance in that she is the first gold medal winner at the Winter Olympics, coming from Korea, where winter sports were not very popular.
After she won the Olympic gold medal, there was a figure skating boom in Korea, and many children dreamed of becoming figure skaters like Yuna Kim.
In addition, Yuna Kim is said to be the first figure skating athlete to achieve the Grand Slam in the women's singles category in the four major international competitions (Winter Olympics, World Championships, Four Continents Championships, and Grand Prix Final).
