Does reading a lot help a person become a good writer?

I agree with the statement that reading a lot of books can help people become a good writer. There are two main reasons for this.
First of all, we able to get abundant linguistic resources. If we read a lot of books, we can get plentiful writing structures. Composing varied writing structures can help us to write good sentences. Also, it helps us write better sentences and ultimately become better writers.
Furthermore, we can enhance our story telling skills. Read a lot of books can upgrade writing developing method, story flow and encourage reader’s intrigue. All of that can make person to be a good writer and it can lead writer to be a best seller writer.
For these reasons, reading a lot of books has many benefits, also, it can help us become a good writer.
