What are the most important things your parents taught you?

After I had my daugther and son, I realized that the most important thing my parents taught me is how can grow up children.
My parents believed in me and waited for me anytime.
They allowed me to rely on them completely in my whole life.
My parents never forced me to study hard or make choices during my childhood.
When I selected the university and major, they left me to think and do what I wanted.
After enter the university, I didn't study and just played with my new friends.
At that time, my parents also waited for me and just observing and protecting me so that I wouldn't get into any danger.
They gave me a lot of advice, but they didn't force me.
As I was growing up, always my parents was next to me.
It made my attitude, mindset, and personality now.
I totally agree with someone's saying that children are guests who come and go in my life for a while.

Hello, Nicole!
Thank you for sharing your experience. Your response highlights well how accents develop and how they reflect a person¡¯s background. The point about accents potentially leading to prejudice is a good observation.
