I have given a lot of money unconditionally to a friend who is in financial difficulty, and I have given a car as a gift to my wife, but strictly speaking, it is difficult to say that these are gifts.
The most memorable expensive gift was a gift to the family of my senior staff.
This senior staff has been working at my dental clinic for 18 years.
It was about 13 years ago.
Senior staff Yoon's family had a hard time financially.
Her husband made a friend's loan guarantee, but it went wrong, so she had a hard time financially.
Her family moved into a small apartment and needed a TV to put in the living room.
I congratulated Ms. Yoon’s family on their move and gave them a TV and audio system as a gift.
It cost about $2,000, but I didn't feel any waste at all to see the family happy.
We cannot judge the value of a gift by its amount, but the joy they feel when they receive a gift of an amount they cannot afford is incomparable to anything.
