The lack of rest could be one of the noticeable disadvantages of having a second job while having to work full-time. In most countries employees must work full time, which is 35 hours to 40 hours per week and Monday to Friday. Usually, the working hours are until 5pm or 6pm but sometimes more if there is overtime. If there is side hustle, most people choose to work after working or during weekends when the rest is required to recharge for the following week. People can be physically and mentally worn out without quality rest which can lead to burning out. Then there can be the issue of prioritization. If the person starts to concentrate on the side hustle more, there is a risk of losing concentration of the primary work. This is because the work requires employees training and self-study for development, but side hustle can take this time away. Accordingly, it is crucial strike a good balance between first and second job.
