These days, many young people are frequently exposed to social media and cultural industries and actively enjoy them. Young people are enthusiastic about influencers, actors and idols who appear to be flawless, charming and perfect. Especially, many young people in Korea wear makeup to resemble idol singers, take part in their own fandom culture. However, I don't view this trend positively. I think that as society becomes fast-paced and developed, people seem to value superficial and visible aspects more than inner values. A distorted and perfectionistic pursuit of role models can lead to endless comparisons and emptiness. I recommend exploring your own charm and solidifying your personal philosophy of life rather than trying to resemble someone else and following popular culture passively. By doing so, you can move closer to a truly meaningful and free life in a modern society that is becoming increasingly standardized and diminishing individuality.
