These days, many political parties in Korea use TV to advertise themselves. There are many mass medias in nowadays but I think TV is still the most powerful media to captivate the audience. First, it is the most popular media that all ages of people can enjoy. Due to popularization of smart phones, people are able to be connected to the internet and get information and share with others. However, the elderly who are not used to utilizing it are having difficulty with smartphones so they prefer TV which can be operated easily. Second, TV's information is clear and accurate. It is common to find false information in the vast pool of information these days. However, TV offers specific and exact promise of all the parties and clear photos and attitude of politicians. Also, official debate among every political party is broadcasted live on TV so it is much easier to compare every political party. Therefore, politicians in Korea regard TV as a powerful tool to win popularity.
