I had experiences like this situation you mentioned at my previous companies.
When I had many tasks to finish within work time, I had appointment with client outside.
Usually, I enjoyed having appointment on the outside, but that moment I was very nervous and worried for many task I wasn't done. After the meeting, I came back in office and then recognized the status. For finishing these task, firstly, I figured out and distinguish priority and second I checked due date what is more urgent. Though I didn't have a time to rest short time, It was okay, because I preferred to finish tasks for my satisfaction. At that moment, I imagined if I couldn't that how I dealed with the situation, maybe I couldn't understand myself, for preventing realizing my imagine, I have to focus and try to complete tasks.
